Teaching Vocabulary 401 Workshop

This workshop focuses on the basic principles of vocabulary teaching and learning as well as effective practices for presenting and incorporating vocabulary into your lessons.  In addition, we will explore how to best assist learners with idioms and slang.  Finally, we will explore various ESL dictionaries and determine ways to choose and use them effectively.  Additional information provided in the Full Course Description.

Logistics of the Workshop:

• Date: Saturday, November 14th, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST

• 8-hour noncredit workshop with options of an 8-hour certificate of attendance or 10-hour certificate with participation in a 2-hour extra session or completion of practical homework

• Only offered online via Zoom

• Registration Costs:

  • $95 for early registrations by November 2nd

  • $115 for registrations after November 2nd
