Statement of Faith

TESOL Ministry is a Christian organization. We affirm the historic, orthodox doctrines of the Christian faith as expressed in the following Statement of Faith.

1. We believe the Bible in its entirety is the only divinely inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, and the final rule for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
2. We believe in only one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
3. We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9; Acts 1:9–11)
4. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at salvation, empowering, guiding, and transforming them to live a life that honors God. (John 14:16–17; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:22–23)
5. We believe all people are created in the image of God, yet all have sinned and fall short of His glory, resulting in separation from God. We believe salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ, not by works, so that no one may boast. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-11; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:16)
6. We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have trusted in Him, called to worship God, grow in faith, and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47)
7. We believe every believer is called to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and to share the Gospel and serve people of every nationality, culture, and background with equal love and dignity, without partiality. (Matthew 22:37-40; Matthew 28:18–20; Galatians 5:13; Luke 10:25-37; Galatians 3:28; Romans 10:12-13; Revelation 7:9–10; Acts 10:34–35; James 2:1-9)
8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people and that God will judge the living and the dead. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal life in the presence of God, while those who have rejected Him will be raised to eternal judgment and separation from God. (John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–4)
