Volunteer Onboarding

Welcome to TESOL Ministry

We are so excited to have you join the TESOL Ministry Team! We are working together to help Christian Community Based ESL (English as a Second Language) programs and ministries (mostly based in churches of different denominations) and refugee support organizations that offer ESL classes for their clients. Many of these organizations are staffed by volunteers with limited training in how to teach someone English and/or how to run a ministry. TESOL Ministry is the first organization of it’s kind in the United States. Although we primarily focus on helping organizations in the United States (our National ESL Directory is US only), we also serve users from all over the world. During 2022, our launch year, we had 310 website visitors from 22 different countries. From January – early June 2023 463 people from 39 different countries have visited our website.

TESOL Ministry provides information, resources, training and networking opportunities for ESL ministries to help their volunteers in a variety of different areas related to their work. We do this by scouring the internet for high quality, useful links to share; reaching out to experts in various fields to have them provide information through articles, webinars, and in the future maybe via podcasts or videos; and by creating our own resources as well. We offer our services free of charge to ministries that often run on a shoe-string budget themselves.

If you would like to volunteer with us, we ask that you fill out a volunteer application and print out and sign the volunteer agreement. You can email a copy of your signed agreement to connect@tesolministry.org or give us the signed copy if you are local to our office. Once your paperwork is processed, we will reach out with more information to get you started.
